Setting up Direct-Setup in Outlook (Classic) for Windows

How to set up your Direct-Setup Exchange mailbox in Outlook (Classic) for Windows.

1 - Open Outlook

Launch the Outlook (Classic) application.

2 - Enter email address

Enter the email address/username of your Direct Setup Exchange mailbox and click "Advanced options" -> "Let me set up my account manually".

Then click "Connect".

3 - Select Exchange

Under the advanced setup, select the account type "Exchange".

Then wait until the settings are loaded from the server.

4 - Allow Autoconfig

A new window will open. Allow the download of the Autoconfig settings for your Exchange mailbox by clicking "Allow".

5 - Enter your Password

A new window will open where you have to enter your password. Please also make sure to check "Remember my credentials". Next, click "OK".

6 - Cache Mode

In the next window, you can select whether you want to enable cache mode. Cache mode caches emails offline. If you prefer keeping some of your mail offline, you can enable this option.

Now click "Next".

7 - Completion

The account should now be successfully set up. You can set up additional accounts or click "Done".

You should now be able to access your email.
