1 - General Information
internex GmbH is an ISO 27001 certified company where security is a top priority. For this reason, a unique and secure identifier has been introduced for every account, company, and customer: the Client ID.
A traditional customer number often consists only of a sequential number and offers limited security. Therefore, it is only suitable to a limited extent for security-relevant checks and unambiguous identification.
The internex Terminal allows you to grant access to projects, infrastructure, and products to third parties. When business partners are granted access, they can, for example, change product settings or process orders.
For unambiguous identification during these sharing processes, the Client ID, as part of a comprehensive security and authorization check, is an essential element in the internex Terminal's sharing process.
2 - How is the Client ID structured?
The Client ID has the format "CID-" followed by eight random alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers). Example: CID-A1B2C3D4
Important: Please do not use this example, but only the Client ID of your own account displayed in the internex terminal.
Below you will find instructions on how to view the Client ID in your terminal account.
3 - Where can I find the Client ID in the Internex Terminal?
First, log in to the customer area at terminal.internex.com.
Now click on the green user icon in the upper right corner. The client ID will be displayed in the pop-up window.
