How do I activate the cloud sharing partnership?

With cloud sharing in the internex terminal, companies can grant external partners - such as agencies, web designers, or IT service providers - selective access to specific clouds and the products they contain.

This allows external administrators to access web hosting products, domains, or other services manageable in the customer area without having to grant access to the entire account.

For an external partner to accept such cloud sharing, their internex account must first be activated as a cloud sharing partner.

This partnership is required so that external service providers can register and uniquely identify themselves as authorized technical partners.

Important: Only the recipient of the cloud sharing access needs partner status. The sharer (i.e., the customer sharing their cloud) does not need a cloud sharing partnership.

As part of this process, the partner enters into a one-time cloud sharing partnership agreement with internex and confirms it via an online contract.

After activation, the partner can then accept cloud sharing requests from customers and manage their infrastructure as part of the cloud sharing process.

This article explains how to activate the cloud sharing partnership to accept customer sharing requests in the internex terminal.

1 - Log in

First, log in to the customer area at terminal.internex.com.

2 - User Icon

Click the green user icon in the upper right corner and select "Account Overview".

3 - Overview internex Account

Click on "internex Account" in the left-hand menu, or alternatively, click on "Details" in the "Overview internex Account" box.

4 - Sharing Partner

Switch to the "Sharing Partner" tab and then click "Become a Sharing Partner" to start the process.

5 - Sharing Partner Agreement

You are now viewing an overview of the current status of your partnership. You will also find the Sharing Partner Agreement on this page.

Please read the sharing partner agreement carefully and then confirm it. The status of your partnership will now change to "Applied for".

Once your cloud sharing partnership has been reviewed by internex, our team will activate it.

As soon as activation is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from internex. At the same time, the status of your cloud sharing partnership in the customer portal will change to "Authorized."

From this point on, you can accept cloud sharing requests from customers and manage their products within the cloud sharing framework.

6 - Partner-ID

After the sharing partnership is complete, you will find your unique "Partner-ID" by clicking on the green user icon in the popup below the Client-ID.
