Setting up IMAP Mailbox in Outlook (Classic) for Windows

How to set up your IMAP Mailbox in Outlook (Classic) for Windows.

1 - Open Outlook

Launch the Outlook (Classic) application.

2 - Enter email address

Enter the email address of your mailbox and click "Advanced options" -> "Let me set up my account manually".

Then click "Connect".

3 - Select IMAP

Under the advanced setup, select the account type "IMAP".

4 - IMAP Account Settings

Please complete/change the information entered. The following information is required to set up your Managed Mailbox via IMAP in Outlook (Classic):

Incoming mail (IMAP)

Server: various options, see below

Port: 993

Encryption method: SSL/TLS

Require log-on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): YES

Outgoing email (SMTP)

Server: various options, see below

Port: 465

Encryption method: SSL/TLS

Require log-on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): YES

Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server

Managed Mail: For a Managed Mail product, we will send you the corresponding server via email during setup.

Webspace Mailbox: If you have a webspace mailbox, you can find the corresponding server under "Email" -> "Mailboxes" -> "How do I access my emails?" in the Webhosting Manager.

Managed Server: For a Managed Server Mailbox, the server's hostname (e.g., xserv99999.secure-node.com) must be used when setting up a mailbox.

Then click "Next".

5 - Enter password

Enter your mailbox password and click "Connect".

Then wait until the mailbox has been added.

6 - Completion

The account should now have been successfully set up.

You can now access your emails.
