Setting up IMAP Mailbox in Gmail for Android

How to set up your IMAP Mailbox in Gmail for Android.

1 - Open Gmail

Open the Gmail application and select "Add new account."

2 - Set up email

On the next page, you'll need to select your provider. Select "Other" to set up your IMAP mailbox.

3 - Add your email address

Now enter your email address and click "Manual setup" in the bottom left corner.

4 - Account Type

On the next page, select the account type "Personal (IMAP)".

5 - Enter password

Now enter your mailbox password and click "Next".

6 - Incoming Server

Please complete/change the information entered. The following information is required to set up your IMAP mailbox in Gmail for Android:

Username: Your email address

Password: Your mailbox password

Server: Various options, see below

Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server

Managed Mail: With a Managed Mail product, we will send you the corresponding server via email during setup.

Webspace Mailbox: If you have a webspace mailbox, you can find the corresponding server under "Email" -> "Mailboxes" -> "How do I access my emails?" in the Web Hosting Manager.

Managed Server: With a Managed Server Mailbox, the server's hostname (e.g., xserv99999.secure-node.com) must be used when setting up a mailbox.

Then click "Next".

7 - Incoming Server

Please complete/change the information entered. The following information is required to set up your IMAP mailbox in Gmail for Android:

Username: Your email address

Password: Your mailbox password

SMTP Server: Various options, see below

Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server

Managed Mail: With a Managed Mail product, we will send you the corresponding server via email during setup.

Webspace Mailbox: If you have a webspace mailbox, you can find the corresponding server under "Email" -> "Mailboxes" -> "How do I access my emails?" in the Web Hosting Manager.

Then click "Next".

8 - Account options

Select the desired account options and click "Next" again.

9 - Account Name

Optionally, you can now enter an account name. You can also enter your own name. Then click "Next" to complete the setup.

10 - Completion

You can now access your emails.
