Setting up IMAP Mailbox in Outlook for Android

How to set up your IMAP Mailbox in Outlook for Android.

1 - Open Outlook

Open the Outlook application.

2 - Add Account

On the Outlook home page, click "Add Account".

3 - Enter your email address

Next, enter your email address. Then click "Continue".

After a short while, the text "Setup account manually" will appear under your email address. Click on it to proceed to the next step.

4 - Select IMAP

On the next page, select the "IMAP" account type.

5 - Server Settings

Please complete/change the information entered. The following information is required to set up your IMAP mailbox in Outlook for Android:

IMAP Host Name: various options, see below

IMAP port: 993

Security Type: SSL/TLS

IMAP username: your email address

IMAP password: your mailbox password

SMTP Host Name: various options, see below

SMTP port: 465

Security Type: SSL/TLS

SMTP username: your email address

SMTP password: your mailbox password

Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server

Managed Mail: With a Managed Mail product, we will send you the corresponding server via email during setup.

Webspace Mailbox: If you have a webspace mailbox, you can find the corresponding server under "Email" -> "Mailboxes" -> "How do I access my emails?" in the Web Hosting Manager.

Managed Server: With a Managed Server Mailbox, the server's hostname (e.g., xserv99999.secure-node.com) must be used when setting up a mailbox.

Then click on the check mark in the top right corner.

6 - Add another account

Alternatively, you can now add another account. Click "Maybe later".

7 - Completion

Wait until Outlook has set up your mailbox.

Please note that Outlook for Android sorts your emails into the "Focused" category. Therefore, not all emails may be displayed. To change this, disable the "Focused Inbox" option in the app's settings.

You can now access your emails.
